Here at Dance Consortium we’ve been eagerly awaiting the announcement of the new Artistic Director of Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet.
Last night Cedar Lake announced that Alexandra Damiani will take over as Artistic Director of the company which began in 2003 and toured the UK on a Dance Consortium tour just last Autumn.
We are thrilled about the announcement having extremely enjoyed the time we spent with Alexandra last year and offer her our congratulations.
It was also announced that Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite, who has created two pieces for Cedar Lake, one of which was Ten Duet’s On A Theme Of Rescue which toured the UK last year, will become associate choreographer. Crystal Pite, who is also an associate artist at Sadler’s Wells in London, is due to create two works over the next three years.
